We love it when our Grandparents can join us for classroom activities, kapa haka, house singing, and a shared afternoon tea.

Our Year 6’s went on their Celebration Camp to Auckland and enjoyed visits to Weta Workshop, Kelly Tarlton’s Aquarium, Auckland Museum, Butterfly Creek,
and the Auckland Zoo.

Everyone had a fang-tastic night!

Our students celebrated Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori with in class activities, reading to others in Te Reo Māori, enjoying some traditional kai Māori and a fun night of games.

This year our Year 3 students enjoyed a day camp at MiCamp Whakamaru.

Our Year 5 students enjoying camp at Blue Mountain Adventure Camp near Mount Ruapehu.

Our Year 6 students getting a taste of intermediate life at Rotorua Intermediate and trying new skills and passions.

Kawaha Point School students and staff have embraced the celebration of Matariki (Māori New Year). Matariki is a time of reflecting and remembering, joining together and celebrating together.

Every year just before Mothers’ Day, we hold a Special Wahine Day where our students can invite their Mum’s, Nanna’s, Aunties and any other special wahine in their life to celebrate with a special afternoon tea.
