Reading
Reading is an important part of our school programme. Children will read in their classes everyday. Please support your child's reading by listening to them read at home.
Reading Levels
All of our school reading books are levelled by a colour system.
Children who are 5 - 5 1/2 years will mainly read texts that are Magenta, Red and Yellow.
Children who are 5 1/2 - 6 years will mainly read texts that are Blue and Green.
Children who are 6 - 7 years will mainly read texts that are Orange and Turquoise.
Children who are 7 - 8 years will mainly read texts that are Purple and Gold.
These colours are represented by this colour wheel on the back of the book or by a sticker on the front of the book.
